Langford & Chamberlayne were approached by St Gregory’s Catholic School to provide the 3rd quotation for a project that the school had already planned. Langford & Chamberlayne were asked to provide a quote after the school had been given a recommendation to use L&C by a nearby large private school.

The school had decided to replace all the obsolete prime cooking equipment (except for a 6 burner oven) in the central cooking isle, along with the refrigeration in the kitchen & servery area, this refrigeration was either not working or for light duty use only. The site survey highlighted major issues with the gas supply along with drainage issues. This was rectified by the installing engineers prior to the installation of the new cooking equipment by running a new gas supply in the correct sized pipes and installing a pumped waste unit.

The equipment included two Rational 5 Senses Self Cooking Centres along with a Falcon gas fryer. The refrigeration was all Foster with a mixture of chillers, freezers & multidecks. In addition smaller items of equipment were supplied & installed which included a wall mounted water boiler, potato peeler and panini grill. After installation, training was organised for the Rationals, and the school are now producing outstanding food for a growing population.
