Langford & Chamberlayne were asked by Reading School to quote for the supply and installation of a Rational iVario Pro L Multifunctional Cooking Centre, along with a Rational iCombi Classic 6-1/1 Electric Combi Oven. The Combi was to be stacked on an existing old model 10 grid Rational CombiMaster. The Rational iVario was to replace an old Falcon Bratt Pan. In addition the two existing gas fryers needed replacing.

A site survey was arranged and it was discovered that a new power supply from the kitchen mains fuse board would need to be run for the two items of Rational equipment. In addition, extensions to the water and waste would be required along with the supply and installation of a waste pump.

The installation went ahead as planned over the course of two days at the end of term. With full training offered on the new equipment, the Chef was looking forward to the start of the new term and the opportunity to increase the range and quality of the food offering to pupils and staff.
